Stratosphere

by Jack Hertz

/

about

This track is a special dedication to Pete Namlook who passed into the drone space on November 8, 2012. Some of my favorite works by Pete were the soundscapes he created on his own and with artists like Tetsuo Inoue. Mixing long form drone tracks and voices from news and archived sources was something he continued with long after it was a cliche in electronic music. Following a similar formula, I present, Stratosphere, in memoriam to the wonderful artist Pete Namlook.

Jack Hertz works with real and artificial sounds to create intangible techno-organic impressions between music and noise. More information can be found at jackhertz.com
