Aural Films is pleased to be releasing a wonderful new collaboration project by Shane Morris and Scott Lawlor. The meeting of ambient artists has produced a powerful composition that reveals the path to the Gods. Journey on a river of drones guided by mystic percussion, exotic sounds and echoing caverns of the neither world in this long-form piece.

Two stay-at-home dads slowly carved out this album over the summer of 2013. :)
Shane received an initial recording from Scott that was stretched sounds of a train and his daughter. Shane took these sounds and chopped them into dozens of smaller sounds and arranged the foundation and dynamics of the piece based on Scott's sounds.
From there, Shane slowly added a mix of synthesizer sounds as they spoke to me over a few months.
Generally, but not exclusively, the longer tones and sounds you hear on Path to the Gods are from Scott and the shorter staccato sounds throughout the piece are often from Shane.

A very different Fog Piece. A wonderfully evocative field recording of sea water and foghorns with what sounds like harmonium and a little flute. Quiet and contemplative. David Kellett
