Night Wings

from Wetlands by Jack Hertz

about

Lampyridae is a family of insects in the beetle order Coleoptera. They are winged beetles, and commonly called fireflies or lightning bugs for their conspicuous crepuscular use of bioluminescence to attract mates or prey. Fireflies produce a "cold light", with no infrared or ultraviolet frequencies. This chemically produced light from the lower abdomen may be yellow, green, or pale-red, with wavelengths from 510 to 670 nanometers. Read more at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefly

Wetlands is a collection of Intelligent Ambient Music compositions inspired by places of greenery and water where life abounds in ponds, marshes and swamps. These tracks stem from what I think of as impressionist music. The selection and organization of sounds are meant to evoke a memory of a place or environment that is part documentary and part hallucination.
