Aural Films is excited to present the final installment, "Just Fourier You!" That is being offered with the first four Computer Music releases as special collection of works.
The Computer Music series features recordings inspired by the early computer composition systems such as the MUSIC-N, RCA and Buchla systems. These long-form recordings are part of an on-going pursuit to bring adventurous ideas from the past, into the future.
What makes the music in this series different from other modern compositions using a computer with digital audio workstations. Is this music was mostly auto-composed by the computer. The artist assumes more of a conditional role by setting up an environment with boundaries and functions for the computer algorithms to extrapolate notes, patterns, changes and even the timbre. Of particular focus is the use of the computer as an aid in developing long form compositions that evolve very slowly over an extended period of time. The results are not always desirable, but can offer new and exciting outcomes. The the best of these efforts have been captured in these recordings.

It makes me remember when I looked at the stars as a kid, hearing the distant sounds of the night dancing around my ears, while the emptiness in me was being filled with another kind of emptiness, a meaningful one. neo-alquimista
